UN-Water
In 2003, UN-Water was established with the objective of promoting coherence and coordination of the initiatives of the United Nations system and contributing to the implementation of the agendas defined in the United Nations Millenium Declaration and the World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) 2002. It includes links to the most updated general information on the sector.

UNICEF - Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
It has an area dedicated to water, sanitation and hygiene where materials, news, statistics and ongoing or evaluated programmes can be found. There are technical notes and case studies as well.

Joint Monitoring Programme
World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF joint monitoring programme in charge of monitoring the water and sanitation sector. Here, the latest data of national coverage relative to these services is available. Selected indicators definitions can also be found so as to harmonize water and sanitation monitoring.

Water and Sanitation Program (WSP)
Alliance between several donors, administered by the World Bank, with the mission of supporting people to achieve a reliable and sustainable access to water and sanitation. A wealth of information is available and WSP develops regional and global initiatives. It also develops interesting tool-kits.

United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
UNPD gathers different policies and strategies for sustainable management, as well as initiatives about poverty and the environment.

European Environment Agency - Water
EEA is the agency responsible for offering information about the environment to the policymakers responsible for development, approval, execution and evaluation of environmental policies and also to the general public. They provide several publications and articles about water issues, water indexes at European level, reports on water control and management and related events.

EuropeAid / ACP-EU Energy Facility
The fund for Energy is a tool for cofinancing established in 2005 with the goal of supporting projects to improve access to sustainable and affordable energy services for the poor who live in rural and suburban areas in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP).
